Flipped Fantasia
ABOUT US

Hello Everyone!
My name is Taryn and I am very excited that you stopped by. Let me introduce myself, what I do, and why its important.
I am now in my mid-30's, married with three boys, a USMC veteran, college graduate, and a coffee-holic. I spend most of my "alone time" flipping furniture, crafting, and finding other ways to create art.
As a young child, I have been exposed to DIYer's and how to make personal items brand new when they have lost their luster. Growing up in a family of crafters, I have engaged in numberous ways of creating, flipping, and rescuing home decor and furniture. My journey that landed me to flipping furniture started when I helped my Aunt recover her old couch and refinish her old bedroom furniture. This was over 20 years ago before the internet was flooded with DIY websites and Pinterest. I also started sewing when I was around 10 years old, creating my first quilt and some pillows. My mother is also an avid crafter, as well as, my sister Michelle. Needless to say, I grew up and continue to create art and "rescue" things that I feel deserve a second chance.
Why is it important?
There are a lot of family units that are single income or trying find ways to incorporate another paycheck. Having three kids, one being disabled, has limited my options in the workforce. Childcare costs are no joke and finding a job that will cover childcare and the cost of being away from the home is hard to find. Working from home, I allow myself to help alleviate some of the bills and save money for family adventures, medical costs, and home maintenance.
Staying active and creative has proven to help me with the stressors of life. It also affords the opportuntiy to expose my own children how to be creative and encourage art in anyway possible.
I hope my website stirs the creative juices and fuels the artist in you. Thank you again for stopping by. Please check out the gallery I have posted and don't hesitate to contact me!
